Decaf Christmas Party
Valley Park School welcomed local community members living with Dementia to their Dementia Café Christmas party and pantomime on 6 December. Over 44 people attended, with students from a variety of subjects contributing before the event and on the day.
Students performed their favourite Christmas songs, and served a fabulous two course lunch with silver service style waitressing. Performing Arts students concluded their panto tour by performing Peter Pan to an eager audience, and the event concluded with a Tombola.
Students spent any spare time they had speaking with the guests, making them feel comfortable and secure in their surroundings.
"I had a wonderful time," commented one of the guests. "The food, entertainment and fun were excellent! We don’t have much contact with young people as we get older. The students were so polite, smart and confident, they did their school proud."
