Commitment to Wellbeing at Valley Park School
At Valley Park School, we believe that the wellbeing of our students is fundamental to their success and happiness.
Wellbeing is not just a concept; it is an integral part of our school vision and is deeply embedded in our core values of Ambition, Respect, and Kindness. We are committed to nurturing a supportive environment where every student feels valued, safe, and empowered to thrive.
As part of our ongoing journey towards excellence in wellbeing, we are proud to share that we are in the process of achieving The Wellbeing Award for Schools. This award will help us enhance our approach to wellbeing and ensure that it remains a priority in all aspects of school life. To achieve this goal, we actively seek the support, input, and participation of all stakeholders: students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
To further our commitment to wellbeing, we have invested in a range of support services both in and out of school. We have partnered with esteemed organisations such as YouHQ, Place 2 Be, You Life Coaching, and the Young Lives Foundation. These partnerships enable us to provide comprehensive support tailored to the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they have access to the resources necessary for their emotional, social, and mental health development in school.
Additionally, we work with external agencies and referrals where appropriate, based on individual needs of the student and/or family. Useful links for support can also be found on our safeguarding page.
Together, we can create a thriving school community where every student is equipped to become a positive member of society. We invite all members of the Valley Park family to join us on this important journey towards achieving outstanding wellbeing for all, through a combination of feedback and engagement opportunities.
