Safer Internet Day 2022
Safer Internet Day was celebrated across the world on Tuesday 8th February 2022.
It's a day which aims to promote a wide range of areas of Online Safety and over 1,700 organisations across the UK come together to take part.
This year - as part of our own Safer Internet Week celebrations - Valley Park School led the VIAT Trust in exploring this year’s theme: All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online.
In each school, students used their artistic talents to create coloured tiles to show their dedication and commitment to creating a safer online world. Students decorated their tiles in a variety of ways, including painting, drawing, adding images, and text. They were then collated together to create this impressive and interactive Invicta horse:

With over 800 tiles created across the Trust, every student’s artwork is showcased within the final image and can be viewed by zooming in and moving around.
'I'm so proud of all of the hard work the VIAT schools have put into creating these images,' said Miss Read, Head of Computer Science at Valley Park School and lead on this Trust-wide project. 'It is fantastic to see the dedication and awareness our students have around creating a safer online space. Without the commitment of students and staff from across the Trust this would not have been possible. So thank you all so much for your fantastic contributions.'
