UCA Workshop

On 3 February, year 10 students took part in a workshop held by the University of Creative Arts (UCA). Students learnt how to transfer images and pieces of artwork onto tiles. 

‘We painted the image we wanted to transfer with Gesso, stuck it face down onto the tile and left it for an hour to dry,’ said year 10 student, Molly. ‘Then we sprayed the tile with water and rubbed it with a finger until the paper came away leaving the image printed onto the tile.’

‘I really enjoyed the workshop,’ Molly said. I liked producing the tiles and learning new skills to expand and develop my work.’
