Ceramic students meet Mayor at Mote Park
Students have worked hard on their ceramic memory tiles for the Public Art sculpture in Mote Park.
Today the students met the mayor for the grand opening and engaged in conversations with him and Jack Durling about their fond memories of days spent in Mote Park. The mayor was impressed with their skill and talent. He admired the way students who currently study ceramics at school are working with Jack Durling - a former student himself.
The experience has given students purpose and intent for future careers as ceramicists and Artists. This beautiful sculpture is a testament to the talent and dedication of our school's alumni, and we believe it will inspire and educate our current students about the world of art and creativity for many years to come.
I feel proud and grateful to have such strong connections with students present and past working together so respectfully.
Well done to you all!
