Year 10 Ceramics students impress
Year 10 ceramics students have impressed their teacher, Miss Collins, by ambitiously constructing their organic forms in just five hours.
They’ve already created the basic hollow forms and are now starting to model them with decorations that embellish the surfaces with textures and details.
Most of the students have never worked with clay before, so their ambition and determination are evident in the outcomes so far. They’ve shown respect for others’ work by drawing inspiration from renowned ceramicist Kate Malone and historical references to Wedgewood.
While working, the students are kind and supportive, helping their peers by sharing techniques and advice. They’re also reflective of their progress and strive to be independent learners who can solve problems. This is evident in their reflective making diaries.
