NHS physiotherapists deliver sports medicine lecture
Year 11 students studying for their Cambridge National Level 2 Sport Qualifications were fortunate to have two physiotherapists from the NHS, Gemma and Stephan, deliver a lecture, which covered both theoretical and practical aspects of sports medicine.
It provided students with valuable knowledge and practical skills to support their coursework, exam preparation, work experience opportunities, and future career prospects.
One of the most significant benefits of the lesson was its focus on practical first aid and care. The students learnt how to administer basic first aid and provide support to their families and peer groups. The lecture was an engaging and informative experience which helped students gain a deeper understanding of sports medicine and prepared them for future challenges and opportunities.
