Guinness World Record Pledge
On Tuesday 9 February we celebrated Safer Internet Day (SID), along with 170 other countries around the world.
We extended this into our own Safer Internet Week, which you can read about in our latest edition of Vall-E:
As part of the celebrations for SID, we asked students and staff to make a pledge to help create #AnInternetWeTrust, the theme of the day. Across the world over 16,372 pledges were made in a 24 hour period, including many from our school. We helped in breaking an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ title for the ‘Most pledges received for an internet safety campaign in 24 hours’.
This is a fantastic achievement and we have our very own official certificate of participation arriving in the post shortly.
Congratulations to all those who made their pledges and helped to achieve a World Record.
