New Beginnings
And just like that, the exam season ends...
...and those weeks that previously stretched before us in seemingly unending fashion have faded away into the promise of summer!
Now, we dream of the 'what if' and the 'what next,' and for some there is excitement in the magic of new beginnings, whilst for others there is a certain misgiving around the uncertainty.
We have our Sixth Form induction this week which will undoubtedly cement a few future plans, but we are most of all excited to experience our newest iteration of Sixth Form, as our Year 11 students step away from their formal uniform and as we welcome our post-16 newcomers for the very first time.
Will we be certain about what the future holds for us? No.
Will we have hopes and dreams for the future? Definitely so!
Although we cannot exactly predict our place in the world in a year or so's time, we can take our next steps and anticipate – warmly – the beauty of a new start.
I look forward to welcoming all our new Year 12s into school, and wish the very best of luck to our Year 11 and Year 13 students who take their first tentative steps into their exciting futures this week.
