Mandala Competition Winners
Congratulations to our Mandala competition winners, chosen by Instagram’s Sophie Chappell.

I loved the really varied mix of patterns and shapes; the overlapping mandalas look so effective, and the use of just black ink is really nice. Colouring in sections also created a good use of negative space within the design.

I think the use of complimenting colours looks really attractive; overlapping different coloured lines adds a sense of extra detail and looks amazing. Using the dark blue to create sections of colour is something I think looks really cool - I want to try this on my next design!

I feel like this design has drawn inspiration from Supermundane in a way that I really like. I also draw inspiration from this artist. The restrained use of the same repeating patterns looks really impressive; having a heavier/ thicker brush at the centre creates a sense of depth I like a lot.
